Coursera itself is mostly great. It contains a lot of courses of high quality with solid instructors. The site relies on flash in a few places which is a nuisance. The app, unfortunately, is too basic and its difficult (sometimes impossible) to complete a week without relying on a desktop computer.

So great! Very well done. Just love it!!!

Works well, makes learning easy.

The app allows you to download videos for later viewing - brilliant feature. I watch them in the transit system. I havent once had an issue with any bugs in the app. Video player built in into the app is quite good. There are several options that make this player feel like a great paid app. Navigation is very user friendly. Supporting Coursera!!!

The option to download course modules for offlibe use is immensly helpful. It would be nice if the videos saved your progress, but I suppose that would just take up more memory anyway. Must have for self-learners

Good lectures in short bites. Recommend slower speech by lecturer given the he complex nature of the material.

Terrible apps. Easy to sign up , so hard to deactivate.

The app crashes on my iPad every time I try to load the catalog. I can only see the courses I have registered for on my laptop.

For those of us that are committed to continuous learning, this app is a great tool. The system pushes some awesome courses (free and paid) to me that are useful and appropriate. My only issue is time.

Can download to cellphone is a plus.

Have it for a month now and really satisfied with its capabilities and stability. Just need a fix on starting of the vides, it is very low definition for first few seconds... My internet connection is super fast and the problem is not at my side.

Want to be able to dl the script too

The Coursera app on the iPhone and iPad is very frustrating to use. It has a lot of weird anomalies that make it difficult to perform basic operations. When I’m watching lecture videos, it always skips forward by two videos when it autoplays the “next” video. So, if I don’t intervene and press previous video when the next one autoloads, I end up missing half the lecture videos. This is exacerbated by the fact that you can’t see the list of lecture videos while you’re in a lecture video. Sometimes, it skips forward to the next week without me even realizing it. On my iPad, the app is only showing 4 of 5 courses I’m currently enrolled in. There’s seemingly no way to get to the missing course. On my iPhone, it’s showing all 5 courses, but two of them are linked to the next session of the courses, not the ones I’m registered in. They’re linked correctly on my iPad. Again, no amount of pull-to-refresh or “refresh course catalog” actions fixes it. Overall, the Coursera app provides a hugely subpar experience that actively thwarts learning.

Generally, the app works well, but very frustrated by the lack of functionality in some areas. For example, figuring out how to enroll in a course or a specialization was not intuitive and took a few days to figure out. Additionally, the app does not allow users to complete peer review assignments (and attempting to load the coursera website on an ios device results in an immediate redirection to the app, leaving no workaround) - this means that it is not possible to pass some courses.

The app is a perfect portal into coursera. Works smoothly and provides access to all the course info. No complaints.

This excellent app allows you to access conveniently the wealth of knowledge being offered online by great universities. Theres a wide variety of courses, and the app keeps track of what you re taking, and how far youve gotten.

The courses are professionally made and a lot of time and effort is spent in designing and delivering them. Certificates should be made available for the free courses at any time, not only when the courses are delivered, otherwise I highly recommend them.

Every course I have is not loadable from the app. "Sorry, we were unable to load the course."

Content is good, but changing between orientations is buggy.
