I can study everywhere I go, take notes as I go and pass the exams, they have a lot of certifications, I’m currently doing a marketing E-commerce one and then I’ll do a data Analytics, so far it’s been so easy, no upset professors rushing you and making you feel like less. Would recommend 100%
The performance of the app or browsing on iPhone (Safari) is not as expected or seamless. For example, captions in videos go way faster than the speaker, and when connectivity is lost video controls get messed up and don’t remember when left off.
Haven't used the app for 1 min and it keeps asking for reviews. Clicked later and two minutes later it popped up again!
I wish the interface was more tablet friendly and was able to enhance certain readings in windows. They stay at one seze and done change going from landscape to portrait and vice versa
I mean, you can usually log in and watch videos. You can use it to click over links into your real browser, (the attached browser gets inundated with unblocked ads and lack of subscriptions). But you can’t use it for assignments. It won’t show them. And you can’t use it for other programs like google classes on coursera because it can’t authenticate. And when this app is installed it intercepts links within coursera and breaks them. You have to uninstall the app entirely in order to use coursera with your browser which is more featureful. IOW, it works a little but you have to remove it to do many things on coursera.
It seems like it would be a really great tool, but as someone who is mainly looking to take classes on my own time, it’s hard to justify spending that much money. It’s difficult to find courses that are non-paid as well. I was trying to find anatomy courses and medical terminology and there was one human physiology class that was free, but no basic anatomy and terminology. 50/60 dollars a month is just too expensive for someone trying to learn and grow when they can’t afford college.
I’ll change this to a 5star rating once you add some kind of a wishlist or bookmark or save course for later feature… this is ridiculous…
Flawless on desktop. However, videos skip after 5-10 seconds and show no video input. I literally cannot use this app to study, I need to use the desktop version. Very inconvenient.
Highly recommend to anyone who want study
"Introduction to American Law" course offered by the University of Pennsylvania on Coursera. This free online course provides a comprehensive introduction to six important areas of American law, including Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Property, and Tort Law. Participants have praised the course for its engaging and knowledgeable instructors, who effectively present the material in a clear and concise manner. This course is ideal for those considering or just beginning their career as a paralegal, as it lays a solid foundation for understanding the American legal system and its various components. The course is self-paced and takes approximately nine hours to complete. With flexible deadlines and a 100% online format, it's an excellent choice for those seeking a high-quality introduction to American law.
I had personal issues with canceling service and they helped me get a refund. I wish they wouldn’t automatically charge monthly. Was an okay service.
La plate-forme est tellement bien conçu avec un programme adapté et des explications claires et simples à comprendre.
Overall my experience with the Coursera App has been pretty good! There are two things that I think need to be updated though to make usability much better for folks on mobile or iPad. For one, having the feature to save courses would be great. I accidentally had to start a course because I was trying to save it to find more information on it and now it’s sitting in my learning section because I’m not doing it. Also, there needs to be a fix for viewing student submissions. I’m not sure if this is just my device, but when I’m looking to do peer review, the screen just doesn’t load at all. Luckily, I’m able to go on to the Coursera website on my iPad through safari to access that portal, but it would be great if I could do it in app.
Trying to cancel subscription is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I wasn’t using the courses so I decided to cancel and had the most difficult time finding where to cancel. I ended up being charged because i couldn’t find where to cancel. I I reached out to support via chat within 2 minutes of my card being charged at 11 pm to get help in where to cancel and to get a refund what they had just took from my account. I wasn’t given any help on where to cancel or assisted in refund. Only told I would get a response within 24 hours via email?! I’m sorry but this not good business practice at all! If I have to talk to y’all directly , I expect for my concerns and requests to be handled directly. Not through email.
The tools and tips taught in this course will help me learn more, in a creative and critical thinking way.
I can’t move to the next module because my keyboard on my phone won’t minimize. Fix this please.
Learning at the palm of a hand.
The UI in the web mode is really good, I like it. But, on the ipad is so useless. You never can understand where you are. They are just using UI for both iphone and ipad, but it clearly doesn’t work for ipad. I always end up using the web version through safari!!!!! Why the buttons are the size of entire width of the ipad? Did you guys ever use the ipad app yourself? How can you not see this none-sense and still calling it a final product? It is so strange that a company this big, has an ipad app that looks like a 5 year old kid designed it. I’m giving it 1 star because you guys didn’t even try to optimize it for the ipad and ended up just using the web version.
I have to bounce back and forth from my phone to my tablet depending on where and when im studying. The platform makes it really easy to keep up with my studying
How come it takes seconds to grade 10 multiple choice questions?
Honestly the best 50 something dollars I’ve ever spent. Changed my life, I’m glad businesses are putting their learning programs on here and giving us financially struggling people a chance to gain skills and certifications for the low. I’ve learned a lot and advanced my career in ways I couldn’t imagine.
I’m disappointed that this app, despite its partnerships with multiple tech companies, continues to experience frequent bugs and connection issues. I often have trouble loading videos from my courses, even though other apps function smoothly on the same network. Given the $40 monthly subscription fee, I would expect a more reliable experience—especially from a company focused on technology. I hope these issues are addressed soon.
I bought one course related to AI and I had 6 months to complete the same. Due to some unavoidable circumstances, I couldn’t complete the course in time and Coursera again asking me to pay the money to submit the test and get the certificate. They are not ready to give me some waiver to submit the test. I just lost my money with them! They forfeited my money… this is STUPID!! I want either my money or the course back !!!
It’s frustrating that you cannot complete or view some content/assignments on phone or tablet. You need a computer to see everything.
I, by far, love Coursera, both in-app and online intensely. I was just curious if I could make a suggestion for the app and/or the online platform? Maybe have an option to “favorite” or “save for later” certain courses and/or specializations etc that we would like to do next. (Can even have a way to filter the favorites/save for laters) It would help with organization and productivity because the amount of things I want to learn from Coursera is massive! I love it!
The app is practical and allows you to access the courses while on the go but if you want to “save a note,” it appears as if you cannot do so through the app. However, if you then go to the computer, you will see what you saved there. It’s inconvenient because one would like to see what notes they saved while using other devices.
paid for a subscription thinking it was for all the classes, but it wasn't. reached out to coursera and apple to have it switched (same day), was given the run around by coursera customer support - then apple said they would refund, so i bought the correct one instead. i got an email the next day from apple stating my refund was denied... wow. with the second subscription, it didn't update in the app and i had no way to enroll in classes. reached out again to ask for the credits to my account to be again given the runaround and denied THAT refund. i feel like i got robbed. so i won't be working with coursera or purchasing education materials through apple again.
I love it
If you need help, good luck they take forever to reply, if they reply at all.
I like this app because it offers educational opportunities for me to explore my interests and accomplish my dreams in life.
As a whole I feel that the app is great and easy to use, the only complaint I haven’t encountered during my time using the app is with submitting write portions of quizzes/ tests, I was able to type on phone app but when I wanted to push next or submit I would have to exit the quiz then resume in order to push next for the next question. Not a deal breaker but definitely annoying
Coursera has a wealth of learning such that one need never be bored. I think it is better quality entertainment than TV.
It’s been a while i’m using this app and i highly recommend it
Most areas of training is not compatible on an iPad. Should have been a disclaimer from the beginning.
I am reaching out regarding my React Fundamentals - Graded Assignment: React Mastery: Building Interactive and Optimized Web Applications certificate. It has been more than 48 hours, and my progress remains stuck at 99%, despite my work being peer-reviewed and approved. I urgently need this certificate to be accepted by our nonprofit organization for membership verification. Currently, I am on a trial account and cannot proceed without it. Please take immediate action—whether approving or rejecting my work—so I can continue. Your prompt assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to your response.
I love Coursera because I can do everything right from my phone. It’s convenient and I work at my own pace. Rather it’s my lunch break or if I have 10 min to spare, Coursera has gifted me confidence where I feel like I can accomplish my academic goals. They also encourage you to set daily goals that allow you to stay on course with your learning. I love it!
Assignments are frequently buggy on the iPad app and fail on submission. You end up having to start all over from the beginning; super frustrating. Use the website instead.
I have used Coursera for a few years on and off. They have a lot of great classes. Best if you wait for a deal on a Plus subscription.
I have a Coursera Plus subscription that works on the web via multiple browsers, but after downloading the Coursera app for iPad and logging in, I am unable to access my course without signing up for another additional Coursera subscription. Which obviously makes no sense. So I cannot use the app at all. Thus the one star rating.
I’m using this on my iPad and the first quiz I got to to pass a module won’t load. Just a white screen. I skip that and get to the end of module 2 . White screen. Pretty useless app if I have to go back to my computer to take a quiz every time. Definitely not what I expect from a service that costs $50 a month.
User friendly
Every other screen is a popup for the review. I’ve used the app for 15 minutes…
Love it
Good for free learning, and good for some specific paid courses and certificates
Love it!
Just learned the term mastery learning. It is studying a subject for as long as you need until you learn it. Imagine being allowed to advance in school based on successfully completing each course. I would complete high school but I would be held back for finger paint. Internet instruction facilitates such learning. And if you can’t get past the “finger painting “, you can drop it. No one needs to know.
Sick Em
I don’t know what it is with this recent update but there are constant bugs that make the iPad version of this app unusable. For example, videos won’t produce an image but the audio will be there. Another one being how it will attempt to pull up the next assignment while watching a lecture with no kind of input whatsoever. This update has made it extremely frustrating to complete coursework on-the-go and has forced me to have to wait to log into a computer.
I remember when Coursera had plenty of courses you could take for free, sure that was limited and you wouldn’t get credit but it was great. That option doesn’t exist anymore it appears. This is not a cheap subscription and I will not pay for a course or access to courses without some free trialing first. Additionally, an obvious feature is missing…why can’t I favorite/save a course for later. I would love to have a tab to look at my top picks!
